and the livid blue marks on her neck in ******* contrast with the whiteness of her skin.
Her naked thighs and legs swayed gently with the movement of the boat, as if life and pleasure still dwelt there.
The boat was now clear of the reeds and out in the open.
Fertily, the oarsman looked around.
He'd reached a spot where he knew the lagoon to be deep.
He bent to tie the girl's ankles to a heavy anchor.
Then the throbbing sound of a diesel engine made him stop and peer into the darkness.
A fishing boat was nearing.
He remained motionless in the dark.
He wasn't afraid, but he had a wager against death and he didn't want to lose it.
The fisherman passed and continued on.
The oarsman lifted the girl's body and threw it into the sea.
He refused to understand their meaning.
While living in that house, her friend had become a slave to their every whim.
Yet no one had forced her to it. Somehow she was sure of that.
