So today we are just going to do some stretching for the arms and shoulders.
I want you to stand up nice and tall here.
Reach the arms up.
When your spine is compressed, that's when you start getting all the pain in your back.
So we're going to just hold the arms up left and right here.
I want you to squeeze those abdominals, squeeze the legs, squeeze the glutes.
Lift your toes up, that's going to give you a natural arch in the bottom of your foot.
And we're going to start just leaning over to the left.
Now if you can't put your arms all the way up like this,
the modified version is to just keep your arms down and lean to the side.
You're going to get a good stretch.
You're going to feel this in your entire back.
Alright?
Deep breaths in and out.
Close your eyes here.
Now you can also drop one arm down if you want.
You're going to get a deeper stretch to the side here.
Keeping both up.
It's up to you. Decide what works for you.
Decide what feels the best.
Okay?
And you can also, of course, do a combination.
Raise and lower your arm.
Or just hold it down.
You can even hold your hand on your hip.
And just mindfully becoming aware of how the side of your body feels.
Stretch up to the ceiling like somebody's pulling your hand.
